co-operatively structured, citizen-directed delivery of care services for people in Wales 24th March 2010, Caerphilly County Borough Council Chamber
Organised in association with WCVA Health, Social Care and Wellbeing Network
and with grant aid from the Co-operative Group
This one-day meeting will centre around the consideration of 4 key questions namely:
- What do vulnerable people need to maintain dignity and a sense of well-being?
- What are the strengths, weaknesses and future prospects for existing models of delivery?
- What is our shared goal for the future?
- How can we deliver a business model for the future which meets users' needs and aspirations, mobilises the latent resources of communities and offers secure, remunerative and rewarding work for those employed to deliver
The event will take the form of a series of facilitated discussions between those with an understanding of and interest in current citizen centred models, policy-makers, commissioners and other stakeholders based upon the principle of deliberative democracy.
Neil Wooding, Director of Public Service Management Wales will be the facilitator.
